Shabby baby Shabby !!!

Creation needs to return to its source, and this is the essential challenge of our work: to understand material and to give it an order, system. Aim is to find differences or redefine waste as a (building) material. We were looking for a new material which was already devalued. Trying to react to the SHABBY challenge our answer is based on lifestyle observation. Cycling is already reinventing the urban life - and not only in a transport related way.
This “cycling - derived“ project is using bicycle inner tube, doughnut shaped “bladder” that goes inside a bicycle tire to contain the air pressure. By understand qualities or properties of material we created a form based on them.
Inner tubes are often replaced and remain purposeless afterwards. As a reusable or second hand material are inner tubes flexible, waterproof and what is more important - available at all cities with cycling community. We can use them as a basic construction system or on the other side, as a “skin“ – facade. If you surrounded a place and you surrounding it not with only walls and columns, you can define space. This place for living as (re)organization of the space.
Home isnt´t a place it´s you! By folding, concatenating and stacking of the inner tube the surface of the inner dwelling space is created.
